On the back, lying down, or to the side? The best sleeping position still baffles experts.
However, new news came from the founder of a famous brand of pillows and foam mattresses, in which he warned against never lying on your stomach while sleeping.
Brett James Lenhardt recommended only two positions for good sleep, in which the sleeper gets optimal support for the spine.
He also explains that he has spent more than a decade working with critically injured and chronically ill patients to improve their sleep and quality of life. He stressed that the best method is to be lying on your back, saying: "If you are lying on your back, your spine is immediately supported by the mattress, and you will get the most even distribution of body weight."
If you put a pillow under your knees, you will find that you tilt your pelvis slightly and that your back is now touching the bed. It is better supported.
The second, he described as a "dreamer," is a semi-fetal position with a pillow between your knees and ankles for added support. "Clinical evidence suggests that you place the least amount of stress through your spine in the lateral line position," he said.
Lienhardt noted that he is strongly against sleeping on your front "unless you have a clinical reason to lie on your stomach, which is very rare."
And the man's videos went viral after sharing his experience about all the common sleeping positions, until only two of them got his stamp of approval.
