What is space
8:57:20 2022-10-20 1484

We often refer to our expanding universe with one simple word: space. But where does space begin, and most importantly, what is it?
Space is an almost complete vacuum, almost devoid of matter and extremely low pressure.
Space, does not carry sound because there are no particles close enough to transmit sound between them.
It is worth noting that space is not completely empty as it consists of gas, dust and other materials that float around empty regions of the universe, while crowded regions of space contain planets, stars and galaxies.
From our Earth perspective, outer space is often thought to begin at an altitude of 62 miles (100 km) above sea level in what is known as the Karman Line.
This is an imaginary boundary at an altitude where there is no noticeable air to breathe or to scatter light.
When this altitude is exceeded, the blue begins to recede into black because the oxygen molecules are not available in abundance to make the sky blue.
