How do we make our children trust themselves?
2:50:3 2023-07-08 2126

A child can only trust himself when we trust him, and entrust him with carrying out the work that he can do, and we call on his brothers who are younger than him to obey and respect him, as long as he respects and sympathizes with his brothers.

The child likes to do the bulk of the work, but the more urgency he feels the desire to be stubborn, and not to do what we ask of him.

Compassionate observation of the child, talking calmly with him, directing with confidence, not preventing the child from doing anything except after entering into a dialogue through which he feels firm in our words, and not launching reprimands as if they were rocket-propelled grenades... all of this helps in building the child's self-confidence.

But if we do not care about him, do not trust him, and always tell him that he is incapable of doing any work, then he will become weak in character, not trusting himself, unable to carry out his responsibilities, and withdraw into himself.
