It is anticipated that you will now:

■ have a good understanding of how motor development problems can affect children’s social, academic and emotional growth;

■ have an understanding of how motor difficulties can affect children in a classroom situation;

■ have an awareness that children may have motor difficulties as well as a learning problem;

■ see the need for children to be able to practice motor skills, especially nowadays;

■ have an understanding that children’s physical development is sequential;

■ know that movement is important for learning to take place.
