Prosodic features

There is little information available on prosodic features in Tok Pisin. Those studies that have been made point to variability and the need for more detailed study. Wurm (1985) is the only detailed account of Tok Pisin intonation, and here he also discusses stress as one determinant of intonation patterns. Faraclas (1989) also looks at some of the intonation patterns among first language speakers.
