The reason for the emergence of the community
There is a long debate among social researchers regarding the reason that prompted man to form social life and accept its relatively difficult conditions and laws, and we mention some of the different sayings in this regard as examples:
1- Saying that the instinct of harmony and intimacy is present in human nature and instinctively pushes him towards society.
2- Saying that the main factor in man’s desire for a social life is his fear of frightening natural phenomena and wild animals.
3- Saying that the use instinct inherent in man's existence is what drives him to social life.
4- Saying that the current social life is the result of a group of customs and traditions that gradually transformed into this form.
5- Saying that the multiplicity of human needs and his inability to secure them alone is what prompted him to social life.
6- Saying that human social life is the result of family life and the gradual expansion of families.
7- Saying that it is not possible to speculate on the reason that prompted man to social life millions of years ago, because the passage of centuries has raised the curtain of ambiguity on this subject and other similar subjects, and we do not have any reliable support for ruling on this subject.
Although the latter opinion is closer to reality than the others, and it is not easy to know the main factor that pushed man to social life since ancient times, there is no doubt that the continuation of the current social life owes to the desire for integration, the expansion of social needs, and the inability of the individual to secure them.
To clarify this: On the one hand, a person sees that his physical needs, such as food, clothing, housing, and medicine, and his spiritual needs, such as learning, developing desires and talents, feeling spiritual tranquility, and gaining the affections of others, are of a degree of diversity and breadth that no one can ever secure on his own. Needs - according to the complex human nature - are the business of individuals and groups that are specialized and talented in the subject.
On the other hand, man's escape from the monotonous, fixed life and his desire for development and integration in life - which is considered one of the characteristics of his life and is rarely found in animals - compels him to join social life, because this goal can only be achieved through the unity of ideas, forces and various preparations. These two issues are among the most important factors that motivate people to continue social life.
