The prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) said to Imam Ali (peace be upon him): There are twelve imams who come after me and you Ali are the first of them, the last of them is Al-Qa'im (he who rises) By whose hands Allah Almighty conquers the easts and wests of the earth.
